COLLECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF YOUR REQUEST FOR AN ADDITIONAL RECYCLING CONTAINER

Purpose of Collecting Your Personal Information for a Recycling Container
By providing your personal information to Circular Materials, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your information by Circular Materials for: (1) purposes of evaluating your request for an additional recycling container (2) permit Circular Materials to share only your municipal address, phone number and email address (and not any other personal information) to its recycling collection operator and/or contractor(s) or container manufacturer for the purpose of facilitating the evaluation of a request for a new recycling container.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
You consent to the use of your personal information by Circular Materials for the purpose outlined above, and to the disclosure of your municipal address and phone number to the recycling collection contractor(s) engaged by Circular Materials for the purpose of contacting you directly to determine your specific requirements.

Your personal information will be used only for the purposes described in this consent and will not be disclosed for any other purpose without your further consent, unless required or permitted by law.

Retention and Protection of Personal Information
Your personal information will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with applicable legal requirements. The parties above will take all reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:

• Request corrections to your personal information if it is inaccurate.

Duration of Consent

It is common for a residence to experience significant seasonal variability in recycling needs with increased volume over the holiday period. As a reminder, Blue Box materials, particularly cardboard, must be broken down and flattened to support using recycling container space efficiently.

For residents requesting an additional cart, we recommend that you use your current recycling container for a period of 90 days before requesting an additional container. It is common for a residence to experience significant seasonal variability in recycling needs with increased volume over the holiday period. *Approved requests for an additional/extra container will be provided with a 360-litre recycling cart (including residences that currently use 240-litre carts).

If you have site/space restriction concerns, please provide additional information and photos to support your application to request a smaller recycling container size.
