• CM Alberta Multi-Family Dwelling Registry for PPP Recycling Services  

  • The purpose of this registration is to collect information from eligible multi-family properties seeking to participate in the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) recycling program and receive recycling collection services at no cost.

    The following are considered Multiple Family Dwellings (MFDs) and eligible for residential single-use products, packaging and paper products (PPP) recycling collection under the regulation:

    • Buildings, or parts portions of a building complex with multiple separate residential units, such as an apartment or condominium, that DO NOT receive PPP recycling collection from their municipality.
    • Single-family dwellings that are part of a Residents Association (RA) or Homeowners Association (HOA) and DO NOT receive PPP recycling collection provided by their municipality. 
    • Townhome complexes, row housing, or trailer parks that DO NOT receive PPP recycling collection provided by their municipality.

    Institutions and visitor accommodations are not considered MFD under the regulation and thus are not eligible for PPP recycling services through Circular Materials (CM). These properties should not register. Property owners or managers of eligible MFDs in Alberta who wish to receive curbside recycling services must register using the form below. If your building already receives PPP recycling collection through a municipal residential program, do not register.

    Before proceeding with registration, please read and provide your consent to the collection and use of your personal information by Circular Materials (CM). CM is requesting that you provide your consent to the collection and use of your personal information for purposes of managing multi-residential property recycling services and to comply with regulatory requirements under the Alberta Extended Producer Responsibility Regulation for Single-Use Products, Packaging and Paper Products. The information collected may include your property owner name, address, telephone and email address and/or building related information, and waste management service details. The personal information collected by CM will be stored securely on CM systems and will only be used for the above purposes.

    Your information may be shared with third-party service providers responsible for recycling collection , and as may be required by law with regulatory authorities. Your personal information will be retained only for the period necessary to fulfill these purposes or as required by law, after which it will be securely destroyed and/or deleted by CM. You have the right to access, correct, or withdraw your consent for the use of your personal information at any time by contacting us at privacy@circularmaterials.ca.

    By continuing to the CM Alberta Multi-family Dwelling Registry for PPP Recycling Services, you acknowledge that you have read and consent to the collection and use of your personal information for the purposes listed herein.

  • Consent to disclose personal information acknowledgement: I consent to the collection and use of my personal information by, and the release of personal information to Circular Materials for the purposes listed above. I understand that my consent is only valid for the time it is needed to achieve the purposes herein, unless I withdraw it. I understand that I can withdraw my consent at any time. However, doing so may prevent Circular Materials from providing me with the necessary waste management service details and related recycling services.  I agree that this electronic version of the acknowledgement shall be as valid as the original.*

  • Contract Standard Agreement

    By agreeing to participate in this program operated by Circular Materials you understand the following:

    Contract management: Circular Materials will hire a third-party contractor for PPP recycling and will manage all PPP recycling contracts.

    Collection and bins: PPP recycling frequency of collection and the bin types may change depending on what is best for your building type and the contractor that Circular Materials procures. 

    Promotion and education: Circular Materials will manage all PPP recycling promotion and education (P&E) strategies and implementation to residents.

  • Instructions for Completing the Form

  • Please carefully follow the instructions below when entering information for each building in the form.

    ALL MANDATORY FIELDS ARE REQUIRED TO BE COMPLETED IN ORDER TO SUBMIT THE REGISTRATION.

    1. Contact Information 

    • Company/Organization Name* – Enter the full legal name of the property management company or organization. 
    • Contact Person's Full Name* – Enter the full name of the primary contact who will receive communications regarding the registration. 
    • Contact Person's Telephone Number* – Enter the direct telephone number of the primary contact for communications related to the registration. 
    • Email Address* – Enter the email address of the primary contact who will receive communications regarding the registration. 
    • Contact Person's Role – Enter the job title or role of the primary contact within the property management company or organization.

     2. Enter Building Information

    • Civic House Number* – HOA's/RA's include all applicable residential premises. Example: 2–24, 27–38, 42–10
    • Street Name* – HOA's/RA's use a new row for each different street name.
    • Building Name – If applicable. If no building name, leave blank.
    • Postal Code* - Enter the postal code for the registered property.
    • Number of Residential Units for each property* – This includes the number of apartments, trailers, single-family dwellings, town homes, etc.

    3. Enter Current Recycling Collection Contract Information

    • Do you curently offer PPP recycling services at this property? (Yes/No)
      • If No, skip to the next property.
      • If Yes, fill out the current contract information
    • Current PPP Recycling Collection Contractor – Enter the name of the company that provides collection of PPP recyclables.
    • Current Collection Contractor Contract Expiry Date – If applicable, provide the date of your contract expiry.
    • Intended Start Date with Circular Materials – Your building has the option to either:
      • Terminate your existing contract (at your own cost) and begin service for the earliest possible intake date your property qualifies for listed on the webpage.
      • Begin service upon the completion of your existing contract.
    • Current Frequency of Collection (daily, twice a week, three times, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, as needed, other) – How often is your PPP recycling collected at the respective property?
    • PPP Receptacle Type/# of Receptacles – Select which type of collection container is used for recycling at your property and how many of that type of receptacle you have.
      • If you have more than one type of receptacle, repeat for all the bin types used at your property
    • Comments – If you selected "Other" for any answer on the form, describe it here. 

  • Note: A maximum of 10 properties can be submitted in a single form. If you need to register more than 10 properties, please submit an additional form for the remaining properties.
